Ability to link Enterprises to nominal codes to allow automation of data entry. For example "Lamb Sales" linked to "Sheep" Enterprise. At point of data entry 2 outcomes may present:
if Nominal code setup to "check for missing Enterprise" (or equivalent on KEYinfinity) and nominal code is only linked to one Enterprise then "Sheep" Enterprise would automatically populate after nominal code has been entered
If Nominal code is setup with multiple Enterprise Links (ie "Feeding" could be linked to "Cattle" and "Sheep", but not "Property", "Forestry" "General" etc) then when the nominal code is entered the user would only have the linked enterprises available to enter.
The link creates a relationship that can assist with data entry, without utilising Item codes.
An extension of this idea is to allow a % split. Nominal for Straw is 90% Cattle and 10% Sheep as example
The best approach for this is to use Item codes, that way you can determine not just the Nominal Enterprise links but also the VAT and Description that is entered
